Professional Experience

Brent began his legal career at SettlePou, PC, where he practiced in the firm’s commercial litigation, insurance defense, and real estate transactions sections. During his time at the firm, he was heavily involved in complex wrongful death and property damage cases on both the trial and appellate levels, and in multi-million dollar commercial real estate transactions.  In 2007, he left SettlePou in order to return home and join the Law Office of Robert L. Scott in Greenville, Texas.

During his career he has represented many of the largest corporations and insurance carriers in the nation, as well as many local and regional businesses and real estate developers. He currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Greenville, Texas and represents many prominent local businesses and individuals in a variety of litigation, business, and real estate matters.

Personal Biography

Brent was born and raised in Greenville, Texas. After graduating from Greenville Christian School, Brent attended Oklahoma Baptist University, and then married his high school sweetheart, Heidi, who works as a registered nurse at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.  He returned home to complete his college degree at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Before attending law school, Brent was a science teacher at Greenville High School.  He has two children, Andrew and Adelle.
